hot pants, halter tops, halter dresses, tie-dyed anything went beaded sandals, penny loafers, Hair cuts were mosty shags or bobs for ladies and men had long hair Ethnic hair was usually a large and beautiful Afro.. Make up was dramatic like lightening blue eye shadow and thick black eyeliner from inside of eye to past the outside of eye. Heavy mascara and/or fake lashes. leather vest, frayed on bottom half. T-shirts adorned peace-love-peace-love in different colors and was worn with a gauze type Indian skirt. Everything smelled like patchoulie oil and everyone chanted, Nam yo ho ren ke quo phonetically speaking. Community living was popular. Young couples would live in a house with 4 or 5 other couples. Anyone who was in need of a place to sleep was welcomed to take a couch or chair or floor or a couple's bed. It was all about "make love-not war" It was the most serene and peaceful time I remember in all my life so far

Wow, man that was like a cosmic trip on a magic carpet ride. Oh, and the music was the best of ALL times in the 60's-early seventies.

Peace out,
