I agree with meaningless please think carefully about a Burmese they are not for the first time snake keeper. Mine is 5 years old 12 feet long and eats 5lb rabbits every other week.

a better question for you is are you ready for a Burmese python? If you have to ask a question on this page about it then i promise you your not ready for a burm and should probably look into another kind of snake.. They get up to 18 feet long and can easily KILL a adult man. Ive been around allot of snakes in my life and there's not much in this world more frightening then a hungry adult Burmese.. DO NOT underestimate this animal and DO NOT believe for a second that just because you've had a ball python or two it means you should get a burm.

question 2

Are you prepared financially to pay for such an animal.. in one year a burm can reach 8 feet and start eating rabbits within 3 years in can be 12 feet + and require a cage the size of a large walk in closet..

i don't know you and i don't know about you but please rethink this decision and seriously consider another species.

Boa constrictors can get about 11 feet and make Awesome pets.. also coastal carpet pythons can hit 10 or 11 feet and are brilliant to look at draped from a branch...

please don't get a burm..

I'm with meaningless on this one, I'd go with either a ball python or corn snake if this is your first snake or even a boa, I have a columbian red tailed boa and hes a great pet. Also remember if you deside to get a burmese you should be perpared for how big they can get, you'll need a lot of space and a lot of money to buy a enclosure that is big enough for it. Good luck!
