Thank you for your information my daughter is doing much better her doctor took her back into surgery and did another endoscopic surgery to see what was going on and to see if there was damage to her organs from the previous surgery and he said there wasnt any signs of bleeding or bowel leaking out. He said that is was possible that she got an infection and so he changed her to a stronger antiobiotic and a different pain med drip that wouldnt effect her blood pressure and it has helped she is feeling much better. He still hasnt let her eat due to her throwing up ( that has also stoped ) Thank you for your help - The doctor is doing his best she is still in the hospital and he still hasnt let her eat any thing as of today but she does feel better. Thanks again,

She probably has a post-surgery infection. I hope she is okay.

Do not hesitate to ask for a second opinion if your primary doctor is puzzled. Not to scare you, but low blood pressure and fever could indicate septic shock which can be vary serious. Ask for an infectious disease specialist or internist to see her.

It's not uncommon for the bowels to be sluggish any time they are handled, even after endoscopic procedures that enter the abdomen. A GI consult is indicated if this goes on long.

RBC's could also indicate infection, but if she had a catheter previously this can also just be irritation from that. Urine cultures will give more information and I'm pretty sure they are doing them.

But if you lack confidence in your surgeon, ask for a second opinion. YOur doctor may be doing a great medical job but not communicating with you well and someone else might be a better "fit."

First of all, she should have been bowel prepped before the surgery. There is no natural reason to have an obstruction or impaction a mere 3 days later. Secondly, she has an obvious infection for which she needs to be treated. Are you certain her unprepped (non-emptied) bowels were not nicked during surgery?? Do not mess around - take her to another doctor immediately. She needs to have this addressed ASAP before she goes septic, not just by some baffled doctor who acts befuddled over the CT scan interpretations. Good luck to you both.

You need to get a second opinion quick. This dosent sound good and I would rely on this Dr at all. I would take her to another emergency room and have them check her out thoroughly. If this is causing her kidneys to shut down which I cant say for sure and the drop in blood pressure and blood in the urine. GET HELP soon!He may have burned a hole in her bladder or something else. I dont know

If you went to a DO, find yourself an MD. You need some second opinions..... If she has an impacated bowel, why didn;'t they give her laxitives/enema. You didn't mention if she was put on antibiotics or not..... again, you need to find another doc.....
