From what it appears, India can win. We need to prepare to face Australia, but at the same time we should not ignore South Africa. Our boys need more practice, preparedness, confidence and attitude to make it possible!

Optimistic Indians should say yes! But, think once..one of the major components of the team that reached the finals last time is missing from the scene! Yes, Ganguly is not in a good form now..but the chief selector has already announced that he will not be picked into the final squad no matter what his form will be at the time of selection. This is wierd!
The Indians have a silver lining to be looking into as most of the Australian players are in their mid or late 30s. By the time the World Cup kicks up, they will be even older! But this is not at all the case with the Indians! So, lets hope that India will make it with a step further from where they had stopped last time!

The funny thing about world cup is all the teams have a shot at it..
India could win but I am concerned about their performance in WI in the last one-day series with WI. They seems to choke under WI conditions in one-day games. Australia, England, Srilanka all are playing good. Pakistan will have to prove themselves to be a contender in the upcoming series with Eng.

-only india must play this world cup,ie.,other teams withdrawin .......
-or the teams participating must be
U.A.E-
Holland
Scotland
Canada
league matches with above 4
Kenya-Quarter finals
Zimbabwe-Semi finals
Bangladesh-Finals(not sure Indians ll come this far)

No way as far as Dravid hasn't got the flair like Ponting & the players are not stable in mind & are unsure of their places because backstabbing of Ganguly still haunts them.Chappell hasn't got any magic potion as well.

got chance but very slim.
last world cup final they were beaten by aus. aus scored 360. (ooaa)
this time aus has good chance. SA can compete well if they have a good & strong team compared to last time.
i want SRL to advance to final......
