Bush is not running in 2008. A president is only allowed two terms in office, and Bush is serving his second consecutive term, which means the Republicans will have a new candidate in 2008.

Bush isnt running for president, this is his second term in office and presidents cannot serve more than 2 terms in office, so technically i would have to say no one is running against Bush in 2008.

Bush can't run for re-election in 2008 because he has already served two terms.

After Franklin D. Roosevelt served four consecutive terms, Congress passed a law preventing any future presidents from serving more than two terms. They probably passed it to keep a populist dictator from coming into power and staying in power.

Sorry, but this is Bush's second term. He is no longer eligible for running. If Hillary Clinton makes it past the primary, I am sure she will try unfortunately, perhaps along with Joe Lieberman. No disrespect intended, but I am almost glad I am not able to vote, for I would have to waste it on an independent ballot.

Who knows? So far the Democrats in Connecticut have voted against Joe Lieberman, their only qualified candidate, and as many others have said, President Bush must retire after two terms.

Presidents can only serve 2 terms.

I think John McCain will run against Hillary and wipe the floor with her.
