my sims are sick. they are coughing and sneezing. I have played this a lot, and this has never happened before. can anyone tell me how to get them better? there are no doctors in the game, so i didnt even know they coiuld get sick, lol. i dont want to delete the family unless i have to, im pretty far into the game. if you can help me out, thanks.
p.s. i dont know if this will help any, but the expansion packs i have installed are makin magic, unleashed, superstar, vacation, and livin large.

The Guinea Pig Disease is a completely random sickness that can affect Sims that have contact with guinea pigs that aren't kept clean. You can easily tell if your Sim has contracted the sickness. They will start coughing and occasionally sneeze. As the disease progresses, the symptoms get worse. Eventually the Sim will die if action is not taken.
Prevention
If you want to prevent your Sims from getting the disease the easiest way is to make sure you keep the guinea pig cage clean. The Guinea Pig Disease is contracted when a Sim is bitten while playing with the guinea pig.
The Cure
There are three ways to cure the Guinea Pig Disease. The easiest way is to buy the Guinea Pig painting. The second is to give a Sim lots of food and rest. The third way requires a little luck. In the "Living Large" expansion pack there is a chemistry set. Have your Sim use this to develop a white potion.
Remember, next time, make sure the guinea pig cage is clean before you play with it.

I haven't played the original for some time...have Sims 2 for Game Cube, but there are certain things about that that I don't really like....so I went and installed the original on the computer again, and have troubles getting into playing it again, lol(you really notice the poor quality in graphics of the original after playing the 2nd one).
Anyway....if memory serves me correctly: messy rooms, not socializing enough, not eating enough(or maybe too much) can cause your sims to get sick. They can die too....their spirit sticks around through gameplay, but you can't control them.

there is a rediculously slim chance of this happening, but on the potion table (Found in Livin' Large and all those deluxes), hope for a white potion and drink it. This is like the odds of winning the lottery! There's a 1% chance that will happen! Have a sim drink it, and they won't be sick anymore.
To prevent this from happening, spray the vermin (Those cockroach things). They carry the disease

You can try making them a lot of money buy these cheats
1.first type in ctrl+shift+c a square where you type things in will appear then type in rosebud and you get 1000 big ones.
2.first buy a firework rocket, it only costs about 90 bucks, anyway, launch it and pause it right a way when it comes down switch to shopping options and click on the rocket and sell it.Make sure you do it right. Hope it works!

Just like people, lots of rest, good quality food. They won't be able to work or anything and it'll take a few days, but you can cure them. They can get sick if you let them get too hungry and tired and if the happy-meter runs down too low too long. Happened to me before.

If you want a quick fix, go to the neighborhood screen, click on the bulldozer and evict the family. Do not click on bulldozing the house though....
Once they are gone get into your families screen, select the family you just evicted, and move them back into the house...
All their furniture and posessions are gone so you will have to rebuy everything but all their mood levels will be at full again.

I think maybe one of the rooms was dirty! but just back the game the game up and get to the point where they got sick.I dont know how to cure them!
