do they need special care or is there a plant food thats best for them

They just need to get started in good soil and they take off pretty well. I assume you live in a climate where you don't have to worry about a hard cold snap. My Mom has the best avocado tree in California. It has taken over her whole backyard in about 10 years and it has hundreds of avocados every year. Be patient, give it plenty of water and it will grow.

Yes, they are very delicate when young. Even when planted in the ground they will need support for a couple of years, there are also many foods specifically for avacado trees and easily available. Good luck with yours!

I even have been attempting to advance an avocado tree for the previous 8 yrs the section i'm have situation with is the transplanting different than that shop it heat do no longer enable it get chilly. it somewhat is the transplanting that gets me.
