Why would you not give it a shot, you never know unless you give it a try. Who knows you may be great at it! My mothers friend has to be around 45 and she is learning to play the banjo and shes older then you. Don't put limits to what you can do just because your age. What about all the old people that are doing things that young people are doing too? live life to the fullest and don't let age get in the way. I say if you want to learn to play the guitar why not go for it!!!

No: if you've always yearned to play guitar--you can do so at ANY age. Let your passion for guitar be the catalyst, like pouring gasoline onto a fire, keep you going. You'll soon find that passion WILL help develop your skill.

I met a 46 year old guy who picked up a Fender three years ago...and now plays the guitar just like Eddie Van Halen AND Jimmy Page!!! If he can do it, hell man--you can too!!!!

You can learn anything you set your mind to and have a heart in doing. Do it I say! I want to learn to play the guitar and the piano, and I'm 37, and I do believe I can do it. I may have difficulty at the beginning but I'm sure persistence will help me prevail, and it will help you too!

you can do what you want it's always good to learn something new as long as it's something you want to do my only advice is that if you fingers arn't as nimble as they once were or if the fituge easily there's a resistance trainer that you can get to help build up the muscles in your hands and forarms that will help you better achive the cords
