I've been dating a guy two months.....Things are going wonderful, he is everything I've always wanted. We have spent alot of time together, and he has even told me that he has already fallen in love with me, and I with him.......we are both a couple years away from 30, and have our heads on straight. I just keep worrying that he will change his mind. I realize you can never predict the future, but if things are going so well why do I feel so scared that things will fall apart. I know my self-esteem can get weak in a relationship because of past bad ones, but I also have moved on and try to make the most of things. Any advice or input?

Two months isn't very long, so just keep your wits about you. If you have some doubts about the guy, you could check criminal records, marriage and divorce records, outstanding traffic citations, and the like, at the county court house or even perphaps on line, depending upon your state. You neither one are kids, so if things are still doing well a year from now, you might consider the next step. One piece of advice -- share a year and all the holidays together before you make a committment.... Good luck. Love is the most lovely of feelings, isn't it?

You have both have previous relations and have both been hurt by them. Not all of them, but some. So you suffer from anxiety that something is going to happen to break this one up. It would be easy to say don't worry about it. But, that would be only words. However, at the same time that you worry about it, you could make it a self fulfilling prophecy. Try to accept him for the warm caring person that he is. Allow him into your life, as much as you can, and try to accept him as well.

You sound like you are worried about history repeating itself. Just relax and let things come naturally and everything will be okay. Good luck!

you know what? you shouldnt be so scared, because you cant predict the outcome of the future. just leave it how it is because you wouldnt want anything to go wrong because of what you think. let life lead where it goes. if he's meant for you, he'll be there...just dont worry about it...well, this is just my opinion but i hope i didnt offend you or anyone in anyway...

2 months, things going great and you're worried/scared. Quite natural to worry about losing something great, cause we DIDN'T WANT TO LOSE IT! Talk to him about your feelings/worries about losing him, assured him that he really meant everything and get some assurance back (from him). You should feel better :-) Good luck, my friend.
