yes 9/11 attack brought the whole country together.
but yet again its all the same,

I agree that the country is as far apart now as it ever was and getting farther each day. It is this ugly war (Iraq) that has now destabilized the whole mid-east region. Now there is another excuse to to have a campaign of fear with the airliner plot and the cell phone thing. Our gov't needs to use every ounce of diplomacy it has to help bring an end to conflict in the mid-east beginning in Iraq before ti is forced to take sides in their civil war. Maybe then we will get back some of the respect we lost over there and around the world. We no longer live in a yours, mine and their's world. Wars now have global effects. No more taking sides. It isn't and won't work .

It is a problem, but I think that totalitarianism is the biggest threat facing the U.S. and I think it may be too late to do anything about it, because the voice of the people is being choked off by the cowardice of the Democrat Party and Diebold,Inc.
