You can routinely measure 2 wks ahead or behind with no troubles.
Yes, you can be short waisted, have a long baby that likes to stretch out, a breech baby, too much fluid in there, you can have a big baby (if you are a diabetic esp), there are a number of reasons.
What did the doctor say? Did you just start measuring ahead or have you been ahead all along?

Well a big baby or you are further along then they think. I know with bith of my kids I measured 2-3 wks bigger and low and behold they were 2-3 wks early and a little over 7 pds. SO If I had to guess I would say that baby will come sooner then your due date. GOODLUCK AND CONGRATS.
If you are concerned though as for another ultrasound* They should give it to you if you are that much bigger then you should be.

You could have more amniotic fluid or just having a big baby. I measured much bigger at all my appointments and I had a 9 pound wonderful boy, 2 weeks early. Good luck!

Its familiar and hardship-free for a non-first time mom to degree farther alongside that known. Its also extra hardship-free for them to coach earlier than a first time mom. each and every being pregnant is diverse, and your body will enhance and swell at diverse charges, at the same time as some pregnancies are particularly similar for some women human beings, its extra hardship-free for each to be a great deal diverse. except in intense cases, more effective bellies and faster growing charges do no longer mean some thing, or are any reason for alarm. now and again your well being care specialist ought to have you ever sonogrammed back purely to be particular the baby isn't coming up faster than it ought to favor to, yet back, it is the variety of uncommon even that your different commonplace assessments (urine and blood) ought to %. up chemical imblances and hormone subject matters contained in the fetus or your self. if you're a great deal worried you may ask your well being care specialist about it, or purely wait till your next visit. also, you would possibly want to be laying down on your back and measuring from the fundus, or proper of the uterus to the pubis to get an precise length. And those measurements are in hardship-free words an universal, and used extra to show screen your boom, no longer position you ni a gestational time slot. :) Its alarming at the same time as it occurs to you.. yet its extra possibly than no longer no longer some thing to rigidity about.

The baby's probably just growing a bit faster than normal. It's nothing to be too concerned about. Some babies grow faster than others. Are you diabetic? If you are, that that definitely explains it. Babies born to diabetic mothers, are generally larger at birth. My diabetic friends baby was born 11 lbs!
Hope this helps!

What did your doctor say about the discrepancy? Worry about the health of the baby (and you), not your size!
