I guess it depends on if you like Japanese type movies or Western type movies better.
I personally liked the second better, though.

If you are a Tarantino fan, you should definitely have both of these movies somewhere at the top of you list! Vol. 1 has a lot more action and blood, Vol. 2 has a lot more drama and suspense, and answers alot of questions that Vol. 1 left open. Vol. 1 definitely DOES get better, but you're gonna wanna watch Vol. 2 right after! Highly recommend them!

they are both great.. its all one story..its just split into two volumes. the first one is the beginning and the second is the conclusion... like the old spagetti westerns the whole story has that classic quality you realy look for when going to the theater..like star wars,,indiana jones,,jaws,,etc.. if you like the second..then you should because you want a built up story with a great ending...thats why the story was so great for me..in a Q. T.sort of way...

Unlike most sequels vol. 2 was deffinately better

I liked both of them, but I have to agree the second one was better, maybe because it wraps everything up that occured in the first one
