In a military unit, any changes made should be made for the purpose of enhancing the effectiveness of the unit. If this calls for adding a female to fill the roster because of her special skills and training then so be it. Changes should not be made using a different standard. If a female has some problem which would make her ineffective in a slot, she should not be given the slot in an effort to satisfy some other goal such as equal rights or the like. It would seem that training would ferret out females unsuited to this type of work and thereby resolve this issue. I do not think it fair that all women should be branded unsuitable without presenting a fair test to determine suitability.

purely ask the thousands persons combating adult men who had their lives saved with the aid of ladies human beings manning 50 high quality gadget guns atop a Humvee in Iraq. Or ask the ladies those who've received Bronze Stars with the V gadget or those who've received the Silver movie star in Iraq. I personally don't think women should serve in infantry positions, and to be honest I have to wonder if they should be serving in the armed forces at all. Before anyone cries, "Sexism!", please hear me out.
I don't question their ability or judgment one bit; as several others have pointed out, there are many women who would keep cool-headed under fire far better than the average man. Rather, I think that it's a sad reflection on our nation that so few of our men are willing to fight that we are sending our women out to do the job for us. Also, there are the ethical and logistical problems posed by female military service (single women with kids could leave their kids orphaned, romantic ties between servicemen and servicewomen could lead to skewed judgment on the battlefield, etc.).
In other words, I think that women CAN serve as infantry soldiers, but I don't think they SHOULD. It's a matter of chivalry, not chauvinism.

I don't think women who have children should be allowed in a war zone or on the battle field, period. They owe it to their children to try and live, not put themselves in harms way.
Women with children who are in the armed forces should be in personnel or some other office-type position.
That being said, some women do have more balls than some men...those women could be an asset on the battlefield. However, irregardless of their attitude or ability, if they have children at all then they have no place on the battlefield.

I don't think females should be infantry at all. Not only are they sensitive and would probably not react well in a combat situation but I think they would be a distraction for the males in combat. I also think the females would be at risk of rape and other sexual assault in a infantry unit. Think about it, if even 25% of the infantry unit were females and you've got 75% males gone crazy on adrenaline...what do you think would happen? Imagine how football players are after a game, drinking at the local bar...look out females.

women should be allowed in all levels of the military, however, they do become emotional and unstable once a month. this is the reason they do not make great fighter pilots. I've even heard of them being taken off duty during PMS as they are liable to either hesitate or act when they shouldnt due to their judgement being clouded. Its kind of cute, but at the same time, bloody dangerous.

As for me, I would never go. I can't be drafted because I'm a single mom, but if I was I would run. I'm a lover not a fighter. In my opinion of what your saying, I basically agree with you. Men will always look after women. It's human nature. But I also feel for the women who want the same rights as a man.

I don't think they should be forced to go(draft). But, if they want to go they should be allowed.
