Will they win the WAC? Can they make a game at Alabama? Why does a team with such a prominent coaching staff have such poor recruiting? Does no one want to play football in paradise?

June Jones and staff has done a great job, but it is always going to be hard to recruit at a school where TV time is rare. Players today want to go to a school where they get lots of TV time and have the best chance to make it in the NFL to get the big bucks. NCAA players on the west coast have it tough enough, add two hours on the clock as you get to HI and there is zero chance any east coast sports writers/recruiters will see more than one, if that, game you play. HI has done a great job job in getting a high profile team to play early December. Unfortunately, by then, bowl bids for games other than BCS games are set. Look at the WAC. There is not a ton of publicity there. Even with the great teams Boise State and FSU have had, it has been hard for a ton of respect. Lucky for HI it is so far away and a great place for visiting teams to get distracted or they would not have the teams they have had. June will do well, and get the boys a shot to play at home in December. That is better than going to the Memphis Bowl, so I hate to say, you have to accept it and be a PROUD WARRIOR!!!! Just be thankful the "Rainbow" has been pulled from their name!

I pick Boise State to win the WAC. Alabama out of the SEC should beat Hawaii about 31-14 or so. Hawaii should be improved though and win about 7 games.

I think Hawaii has a good shot at Alabama. The Tide's usually stellar defense was decimated by graduation in 2005, so you'll be up against a relatively untested unit.

no one wants to go to Hawaii, it is too far away. it is extremely expensive for coaches to recruit outside of Hawaii.
