I read this book and i loved it! It's a story of a boy who is physically different and determined that this difference is for a specific purpose. His life is focused towards an act of heroism. I could type about it for hours, I really recommend you read it to fully capture the themes and symbolisms....it's really a great read

Or if you're not gonna read it, at least watch Simon Birch (based on the book)

read it and find out, do your homework, it is a wonderful book
