I think you should clarify your question a bit. First and foremost, looking at your body can't really be avoided when bathing or changing clothes (doing either in the dark is not recommended, assuming there is a choice in the matter). If, for whatever reason, someone finds it difficult to look at their own body under these circumstances, I submit that there may be body-image issues that should be discussed with a counsellor.
Beyond this minimum, people should make a point of examining their body for various health-related signs, such as moles or other skin discontinuities that have suddenly changed color or significantly increased in size. There are lots of other things to keep a lookout for, falling under the category of 'preventative maintenance' like checking the fluid levels of your car or running anti-virus/anti-spyware software on your computer.
Moving into the realm of just sitting there and staring at your body or reflection for extended periods of time... well, it's not completely bad, especially if it's part of your chosen profession (stage performer, photographer, aesthetician, dermatologist, makeup artist, and many others), but you should remain mindful of your own feelings: does it feel so good to sit there and look at yourself that you neglect to take care of yourself, or neglect other responsibilities in your life? A general gauge is to check how you feel if you don't do it if you have other options, or how you feel if you are somehow kept from doing it: if you feel like someone has deprived you of a favorite toy, or (worse) like you deserve it... then you welcome to Addiction City, population: you.

I find nothing wrong with looking at your own body as long as you are not thinking that your body is better than every one elses - this is a sin!@

Nothing is wrong in looking at your own body, if you look nice, it will make you happy, but if you are fat or shapeless, then you will be sorry for discovering your ownself. In that case be optimist and try to make yourself beautiful for the next time view in mirror.

It's normal to look at yourself. You just gotta from time to time anyways.
If it becomes an obsession, it is called narcissism.
