How many wpm is considered alot?

I type at a rate of approx 90 words per minute...but usually companies are looking for 60 wpm for typists and computer programmers

On the computer, I type between 80 - 90, that's alot. For a basic clerical job, minimum is probably about 45 these days.

When we used to hire admin staff, we'd expect anywhere from 60-80 minimum. I've heard of speeds up to 200. I think the rate at which we normally think is around 4-600 (about triple our speaking rate), so you won't be exceeding that.
