I was 8 years old when their TV show started. I'll never forget them or how my sister and I and our two girlfriends used to fight over who was going to marry which one. I loved Davy, my sister and the other two girls loved Mickey. My sister and I would put on our Sunday dresses right before the show would come on and we'd sit in front of the TV as close as we could and touch the screen when our favorite Monkee would be on. God we were so silly! My father still makes fun of our antics all these years later. The 4 of us girls had an opportunity about 15 years ago to go to a concert of theirs and we had the time of our lives! It was just like being a kid again. I will always love the Monkees!

I've been a die-hard Monkees fanatic almost from the very first episode of the show. Nine years after that (in '75), I met my first celebrity completely by accident - my favorite Monkee, Davy Jones! I think it was FATE - or maybe I just WILLED it to happen - and it DID!!!

From '75 to '02, I have seen and/or met, eventually, all four, no less than a dozen times!

NO ONE could ever replace Davy, Micky, Peter, & Mike in my heart...... and I will ALWAYS go to see them - together, or individually - at any possible opportunity.

Yeah - I'm one of their biggest fans EVER - and I've got albums, scrapbooks, t-shirts, photos, and BOXES full of Monkees memorabilia to prove it!!!!!!!!!!

Micky played drums and Mike played the guitar for real. They sang their own songs with Micky singing most of them. Davy had lead in a few. Carole King, Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart wrote most of the songs for them, and at times did background vocals. I loved the Monkees and I still have most of their songs.

I love the Monkees, I got to watch them on Nicklodom when I was little. They are a true classic band, who cares if they didnt play their own instruments. I will always love them!

OH MY GOD YESS!! I have the biggest crush on Michael Nesmith. Of course my sister and I fought over Micky Dolenz. But I would have gotten tired of the constant jumping I like my men dark and a little angry(ish) not too much but he was just right.

I'm a huge fan of theirs. I was introduced to them back in 2002 when TV Land showed reruns for a few months. I now have both seasons of their show on DVD and their movie Head plus a huge collection of their music. lol

Yes! I loved Davy Jones ... my sister liked Michael Nesmith or was it Micky Dolenz...? Oh - I can't remember now!

I liked Daydream Believer the best, I think ... & still do! I liked their other songs, too, though!
