We need a new law that allows us to have a 'vote of no confidence' at any given point. You know like they did to Arnold in California.

You never know till that person is in office for a while, and the effects are felt by all.

It is not a mistake at all, it is all a learning process. Won't be any better putting the seemingly best and msot capable person there too, as the pressures of office and the situation at the office would warrant one to be incompetent at some or most times.

Study the issues and vote for the most competent candidate. I'm a Democrat and should say here that I'd vote for the Democrat no matter who they ran, but I'd also look at the Republican candidate and could see myself voting for John McCain. One very important fact that gets overlooked when looking at a candidate is to take a good, long look at their running mate. If something happens to the presidential candidate, that running mate could end up as president if they got elected. So, you have a minimum of 4 people to look at and scrutenize closely...unless you want to look at minor party candidates as well, none of whom stand a snowball's chance in hell of getting elected, and you'd just be wasting your vote.

Travel outside of the country. Most Americans have no idea whats going on in the rest of the world because they have never experienced anything outside of their hometown. If they don't have any real knowledge or appreciation for other cultures then they don't have much concern for how the government treats other cultures either.

Don't vote for Hillary Clinton if she runs. Bill's reign of terror was too much. Don't vote for John Kerry or Al Gore if they decide to run again. Bush isn't so bad compared to this gang, is he now?

We should have a REAL vote where our votes count, not the electoral college (they are the ones who vote the president in)...

No need to worry about that. Clinton served two terms and can't run again.

It doesn't matter who is put in office. It could be God himself, and there would be people who would criticize his actions. Noone will ever be happy with who is put in office. One person cannot please over millions of people.
