They are exteremly useful for eating holes in all your garden vegetables. If you want to get rid of those pesky veggies, get yourself lots and lots of slugs!!!

The gigantic ones in southeast Alaska are fun to poke... I salted some in my strawberry patch as a kid before I realized how cruel it was.

Well, they're useful for a live demonstration of the role of salt in reverse osmosis! ('eeeewww')
You can also use them to drink up any stale beer that you may have lying around.
