Among players using reverse pitch in their finger holes to get a cleaner release, "spontaneous combustion" of the clear Ebonite polyester pinball has not been officially recorded, though with more "trendy" bowling centers being built every day, several instances have been recorded of over-microwaved "hot pockets" bursting into flames in the ovens at family bowling centers.
