The extreme answer is to reformat your hard drive, but you will lose all your programs and files ( but it will work ), so don't do it unless all else fails.
Try updating Norton at their website, try McAfee, try restoring your computer to an earlier time ( many computers have this capability now ... some don't ) Search farther on the web than Yahoo Answers ( although you just might find an answer from someone here ). Look for reputable looking websites that specialize in the virus.

But, first go to the website of the program that is telling you that you have the problem, probably Norton, and see what they say.

Good luck ;but, no matter what ... your computer is not physically damaged, but if the virus is downloading your personal info your credit cards could be ripped off.

I hope this helps.

I had a problem with the Blade Runner virus, If you are constantly getting the little box telling you it has blocked a worm/virus, then go to the logs and see the info for the worm/virus, see what port it is coming in on.

Mine was coming in on Port 5400 (the web accelator port), I closed the Web accelator and bingo!!!! I can access any page I want now! Norton is a good program, but before you call their help line and pay them $70 just come to this page, this is where I was made aware of the port issue.

I also downloaded Windows Defender and I think that also helped. And I probably will now surf using Firefox, instead of IE, and only use IE when the ActiveX is needed. A good program also is Adaware, but the main thing is everytime you go off line, delete all internet files, cookies, history, etc. using your internet properties.

Why won't you people tell us what the name of he Virus your program has found? It is the only way we can give you accurate advice on removing it. As you can see, all you get is Shotgun approaches and useless advice. Alway list the infections name exactly as your program lists it. Do not change it. Many of these have very simular names but need different removal methods, so not listing it properly get you the wrong removal procedure for your infection.

Go here and follow the procedure described here. Although the article talks about spyware removal, you can also use your Nortons AV. I recommend you use the programs she lists and your Nortons. This is your best chance of permanent removal.

Go here and read this site and you will understand Why you need to accurately list the infection. You will also be able to protect your computer better.

Norton should quarantine or isolate the file after a system scan. You should be able to delete the infected files manually. It may delete it automatically as well. It just depends on what virus it is.

hi, perhaps you can try Norton or Mcafee to remove the virus, but you should pay for the software.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.

besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

download firefox for free:
