YES it is possible to intimate w/o sex! and with your friend it is a means of sharing your secrets and noone ever finding out . conversing on events in a way that you could never with anyone else.intamcy is just a higher lvl of communication

Yes, it is possible. Intimacy is the feeling between two people who care about each other, it is not necessarily sex (although the two do usually go hand in hand).

Depends on your definition of intimate. It's possible to be intimate without having a sexual bent, sure...if you have a particular friend you trust implicitly with everything, and you can laugh and cry together...doesnt have to be anything sexual in it.

Well I suppose it is. I am about as straight as a circle, thus, I should know, but have not really been neither intimate, nor sexual with anyone. But I think it is possible.

I think so....but usually intimacy and sex go hand and hand. But not necessarily. I think it depends what "intimate" things you do with your friend.

Absolutely, you can be intimate with out physical contact. You can share your most "intimate" thoughts with a close friend that you are not sexually involved with.

being intimate doesn't have to be just sex, can be emotional. but yes it's possible.
