I don't think it's a sin-I think God made me this way. I mean, the Bible says God loves everyone, so why doesn't he love gays?

Asking about "sin" is asking about a moral code set up by a deity.

While there are many spirits worshipped as 'god', and just as many moral codes, I'm going to assume you are asking about the Judeo/Christian moral code, which is the law of our God.

It would be useless to go into the looooooooooooooooong history of the Creation of the Earth and Humans, the Fall, the spread of sin among men, human responsibility, law, sacrifice, and salvation.

At some point, our God revealed to us many things we were doing wrong to each other with sex. This is a long list, not only homosexuality is included. I think many people forget that! Sex
is one of the most intimate, intricate things humans can do together, outside of childbirth and dying, and is easy to mess
up. God's standards for sex are not there to rob us of a 'good time', but more as a "proper use and care of your personhood" guide.

Suffice to say that God no longer hand-makes individual
people with individual traits. "People making" is now genetic and physical; we breed (same as the animals) to make babies. Each
individual person born, is born with many traits common to our species, including one big one: a sin nature. Sin is common to mankind; individual expressions of that abound.

The problem isn't that "people are judging you". When you bring up "sin" as a topic, you admit that you feel judged by God's standard of right and wrong. Whether or not other humans have been total a**holes to you is irrevelant (that's sin too, btw). If you cross a moral boundry line (set up by God), then you have crossed into sin. Everybody deals with different temptations all the time, including the holier-than-thou Bible thumpers. But sin is
sin. It is God's boundry line, not ours to draw or erase at will.

The only true sin is not being true to oneself. Anyone else who tells you otherwise is not a true Christian. And the bible is not the word of god honey, it was written by a bunch of old men who thought they knew what god would want. It's a pretty entertaining book of stories though if you ask me

Because it says so in the bible (Leviticus 18) and science has yet to prove that it's natural. Even if it is proven that people are born that way, the fight will likely continue for many many years (look at evolution, sheesh).

However, if you think it's bad here, read about how gays are being treated in Iraq and other places with radical sects running around. Nasty stuff.

Basically the root of the issue is many people believe that the Bible is indeed the word of God 100%. Many are taught to hate sin and avoid those that do it so they do not become "unpure". I'm a Christian (and told by other Christians that I'm not Christian enough because I don't take the Bible word for word) and I think that's complete bullcrap. The number one rule is to love one another above all else. Avoiding someone because of sexual preference will never be judged as loving someone in my book. Making people outcasts because they are different is not love. Accepting everyone is love and it is my belief that if you do that simple thing, you will be more than good enough in God's eyes.

it's only a sin to the closed minded, hypocritical far right of society. And even then, they're hypocrites cause the majority is religious, thus going against the writings of the Bible that clearly say to be nice, respectful of they neighbor and they do nothing but try and take our rights away.

Sin means the transgresion of the law and since it was man that wrote that law and not god or gods men could change that law if they wanted but a lot of people want to live in 1100 AD instead so we are still talking about crazy men from 2,000 yrs ago and thier attempts at government.

Strangely lesbian was never addressed specifically in the bible male male was and women who laid down with beasts of the field was but not girl girl - Cause the guys who wrote it wouldn't have understood how two women could have sex .

So to be literal biblically speaking lesbian okay male gay no no.

An odd oversight for an all seeing all knowing god wouldn't you say?

I don't know that it is. The same <> of the Bible (Leviticus) that says it is wrong also says that you can sell your daughter into slavery and that ending a woman's pregnancy by accident is not the same as killing a person by accident. People pick and choose which parts they like and which they don't like...it is inevitable.

bcuz male and female fit 2gether so well...and bcuz god lets us know that it is injust to have 2 males or 2 fem 2gether, like it's not what ur soul really wants. sin means injustice, and by being gay you sin against urself and ur body.
