Yes. As a child I had a re-occuring dream about walking in a hallway with many doors. 40 years later I still remember.

There are certain dreams I had seen during serious illness when I was about 8 to 9 years old, which I can hardly forget. It recurs at times. Otherwise, mostly these are new dreams which I see when my mind is heavy with undecided matters and during sleep also the mind operates and dreams come.
You also tend to see the same dreams which are dreadful and have not been removed from your mind because the mind is still overpowered by those thoughts and surroundings. Once you analyze those circumstances by recalling your memory at this mature stage in a dispassionate manner without getting involved as you do at the time of dreaming, the childhood psychopath will be erased. It is some what like bad blocks in the hard disk called brain which needs be scanned and blocks removed.

I wake after every sleep cycle and process my dreams. the strangest dream I had: I was starving hungry living with friends in my early 20. I was home alone and fell asleep on the couch. I dreamed my friends came home and were very tiny, I put them in a tortia warm and nuked them in the microwave and ate them. CRAZY. We still laugh about that one.
But, yes I am 39 and still remember dreams from the age of 5 or 6. I was falling off a cliff and trying to call for my mom and could not make a sound. I had that dream and many similar dreams over and over again.

Yeah, isn't that funny? I'm almost 42, and I still remember, vividly, some of my scary dreams. Like a tiger trying to attack the family and us getting into a car and it still trying to find a way in!
