All the camps in Europe were concentratioon camps. The were not death camps. I am sure the people there were put through some deplorable situations. When you have thousands of people together there will be deaths. The falicy of the gassings is a fairy tale made up by the Jewish media after WW2. There is no way of getting rid of 6 million bodies, the gas that was used wouldn't work in the way described, and the Red Cross told the world afterwards that a majority of the people died from Typhoid or starvation.

Auschwitz was a concentration camp. Look at all the unnecessary experiments etc that were done to those people. The inexcusable violence & torture? How is that part of being at a work camp? I have actually been to Mathausen ( the other major concentration camp) . Words cannot explain the way you feel when you go down into those basements where those people died.... How can you even question it??? This pile of crap is just the dirty germans trying to cover their a sses...

I couldn't get through much of that site because it sickened me.

I went to a high school with an 80% Jewish population. Many of my classmates parents had numbers burned on their arms.
They are the witnesses.

If you don't believe that Auschwitz was a death camp, go to your library and look up the issues of Life and Look magazine published in 1945. Read The Rise and Fall of the Third Riech by William L. Shirer. Go to the library or a video store and get one of the numerous documentaries on the subject.

See Schindler's List, the early 1990's movie. At the end, it becomes clear to the viewer that each actor in this movie had a living counterpart, or a descendent. Their names are listed at the end of the movie.

If there are any Jewish people where you live, talk to them.

The picture of the woman having her teeth pulled was too much for me. The Nazis pulled gold teeth, which were quite common then, before they gassed people. These picutures are propaganda.

I know that you are asking because you're curious. But please don't circulate lies.

Many of today's corporate companies have volleyballs courts and basketball courts too. And usually they are non-union and have 12 hour shifts. Tell me. Who after working 12 hours on an assembly line has any energy left to play basketball?

These weight rooms and courts are there to impress the city officials.

Going to work is like going to a death camp.

It was a death camp! Plain and simple. Anyone who believes otherwise has not studied history. Anyone can create a website full of hearts and flowers. It doesn't make it true.

You have got to be kidding ? Our own troops walked through those gates and threw up when they saw it . So we gathered up the Germans who said they knew nothing and forced them to tour it at gunpoint where they threw up.

Now I understand not wanting to believe that dad or grampa did those horrible things but it does no one any good to make up stories like the one I just saw on the web site you provided.

I would say more work camp in nature. Though they sure as hell did'nt care if a prisoner died. Especially with a diet of "saw dust bread"

It was both, but death was the ultimate goal of the Nazis.
