well when he closes his eyes, can he see through his eyelids?

Sure he can. It is logical that since he can see through everything else, including the superdense celluar structure of other heroes and villians, his own skin's density shouldn't be a problem.

....unless his eyelids are made of lead. Then no, since lead is the only thing he cannot see through.

oh yes he can, but he has to be careful not to do the heat vision thing or he'll burn his eyes out or poke a hole through his lids

he can see through anything but lead and hes not made of any lead because if he was he would not be affected by kryptonite because lead also blocks kryptonite

DUH!!! He's Superman. I mean, if he can see through everything except lead, then why wouldn't he be able to see through his superhuman eyelids?
