Well maybe he realizes how the American public screwed with Michael Jackson all his life by putting him on a pedestal when he was only like 9 years old, and then knocking him down and harassing him for the past 15 years. Raiding his home and ripping apart his stuff, accusing him of something he most likely did not do, and ridiculing him.
Well don't you think that you might feel a little sorry for him too???

I don't think he backs him. He was a part of his jury, but that was out of his own free will. Leno kept ripping on Jackson, even when he was told not to, during the case. He brought in celebrity guests to tell those jokes, instead.
