it is the celtics with the most and the lakers with the second most. hopefully the lakers will catch up soon.

The Boston Celtics. They've won 16 championships, winning 8 consecutive titles from 1959-1966. They won their last championship in 1986. The Los Angeles Lakers have the 2nd most championships with 14 titles. And I believe the Chicago Bulls have won the 3rd most championships with 6.

The Boston Celtics have the most championships. Bill Russell helped conribute to Boston first 11 titles and in the Larry Bird saga they won 5. Total is 16.

the team is the boston celtics the player is bill russle who was on a roster that won 11 straight titles under red aurbach second place goes to the lakers who had bob macadoo the first modern center and the second place player im not sure but id have to guess its either horace grant or robert horry both have 8 from stints with various teams
