You can contemplate the meaning of life with all the other philosophy majors, while working at the local McDonalds!
Honestly, I really don't know what to do with a philosophy major. If you had a master's or doctorate's you could teach. But with a bachelors, maybe you could tie it in with an english major and write books about popular philosophy. Star in your own TV show? Write a column in the local newspaper?
Hope this helps!

Work at the philosophy factory.

The few philosophy majors I have known get higher degrees and specialize. IE. Masters in Political Science and then work as as speech writer or PR for campaigns or go get Masters in Social Work. Otherwise they end up working as bill collectors and other mediocre jobs.

I know a girl that want to University of Vermont. She paid $120,000 for her education. She came back to this state and couldn't find a job. The lesson? Majors like psychology, philosophy, and sociology are not in demand. Its a terrible waste of money if you consider college education as an investment.

You double major is something practical...or go back to school later for something practical.

If you've already graduated, you'll probably find yourself working in restaurants for a while....go into management...it pays well.

This is coming from a person with a BA in History...I had to go back to get my Masters in Education just so I could teach.
