I am going through a major Johnny Depp phase and watching all of his movies. I'm interested to here thoughts on the movie Blow and/or any of his performances.

Same here..he always delivers..he has great talent..and he uses it..he has never taken acting classes..so that's amazing...he is a high school drop out..and now the most talented actor in Hollywood...His performances are always brilliant...I am going through a Depp phase too..but I hope it lasts forever...lol..he is going to be legendary..no one can bring the screen to life like he can..

Johnny Depp is a great actor - I though he gave a great performance in Blow.

Blow was a great movie! Depp gave an outstanding performance ! You can't help but feel sorry for him in the end!! He was really good in Finding Neverland too!

I think he is an incredible actor, and any performance that he gives, will have so much uniqueness in it, that it will automatically be incredible. Make sure you watch 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape'. That is an amazing movie, in which Johnny Depp gives a masterful performance, as always!

It blows, as do all of his roles. Sorry , just couldn't resist that.
Here's the thing about the public and their rating of actors , musicians, and other artists ok? They just don't know a THING about the art. The great majority who say "Johnny Depp is a great actor" wouldn't know the first thing about acting. The same is true of those who say "so and so is a GENIUS musician" - even more so with music. Most ppl don't know a THING about music, and when they learn about it more , or about acting, they tend to change tastes. They don't think mediocrity is greatness anymore. Depp is mediocre at best.
If you would like to see some truly GREAT acting, why not watch Donald Sutherland in his many roles - or how about Jimmy Stewart, or Lionel Barrymore?

blow wasn't my favorite. but i think it had more to do with the movie than depp himself. i thought the movie was slow and not particularly interesting. depp was good but that wasn't enough to save the movie.

I thought Blow was a really good movie. No "feel good" ending, like so many movies today.
