What isthe difference between scene, emo, punk, skater, all that kind of stuff. I don;t get it!

Emo - Genre of softcore punk music that integrates unenthusiastic melodramatic 17 year olds who dont smile, high pitched overwrought lyrics and inaudible guitar rifts with tight wool sweaters, tighter jeans, itchy scarfs (even in the summer), ripped chucks with favorite bands signature, black square rimmed glasses, and ebony greasy unwashed hair that is required to cover at least 3/5 ths of the face at an angle.
Scene - The girls and guys have the same haircuts. They try to make it look "naturally messy" and cut it themselves, but they use tons of hairspray and pomade. They wear tight pants and dye random hair sections white while the rest is black. They wear tight band shirts, white studded belts, and dark jeans sometimes rolled once. They wear New Balances or Aasics. They MUST have a myspace or else. They MUST take millions of pictures and wear eyeliner regardless of their sex. They like to take pictures of themselves holding signs that say "OMGZ ADRIENNE YOU ARE THE SEXXX!" And they like to use words like "haute" all the time and they type all funny.
Punk - A) Music movement started in the 70's with multiple reasons and causes. There was an Americn and British Punk movement. Proto-punk bands such as Iggy Pop and the Stooges, the Motor City 5, and the Velvet Underground were influential in setting the stage for taking the risks bands like The Ramones, The Dictators, The New York Dolls, and Blondie did.
B) Culture started in the 70's by the same music movement. The point of the culture was like the music, be yourself and disregard the angry emotions it may stir up. No longer a real culture, only a burned image with the values behind it lost, you can see it in stores such as Hot Topic. People No longer understand it was always about being yourself and not being anyone's shadow.

haha.. okay. Scene is basically Punk and wannabe emo. Scene people are the girls with guys haircuts who are obsessed with little robots and lightning bolts. They wear little bows in their hair(which is most likely died black - a really adventurous scenester might even add a stripe of pink). Basically, someone who is scene tries to do whatever it takes to fit in with punk/emo people. And they look totally stupid while doing it. http://myspace-052.vo.llnwd.net/00177/25/02/177672052_l.jpg . That is a scene guy and girl. Emo stands for emotional-obviously. These are people who whine about how horrible their life is, dress all in black, and do nothing to ever try and make anything better. The guys look like girls, and the girls look like guys, and they most likely both wear the same thick rimmed black glasses. http://emosong.ytmnd.com/ . Go there. That song will explain it all to you. As for punk, these are the people that think they're really badass. They wear chains, black nail polish, and listen to really crappy, loud, music that you can't even understand the words to. Skater is well.. a skater. You'll most likely find them at skate parks.. skating. Sometimes people will attempt to be both "punk" and "skater", ultimately looking like a total idiot. Second of all, scene, emo, punk and skater are all just lame little teenagers that want to be "unique" and "different".
You're not supposed to get it.

me nither, i mean u could say that punk is not so skull rocky type, ya know like for a while pink was punk. skater is more long jeans pink on bois, skater tys, stuff like that! emo is kinda like both mixed togher!
thats my two cents worth, i dont know thats really what i've noticed about them!

i think it is the personality of people
like being a skater= having to do dangerous stuff, the need for speed
emo= wanting to be noticed, not another in the crowd
but im not a pschologist or anything that is just the way i think.....
