Reiki is a use of energy , and has positive outcomes. While I personally don't believe that "black" magic can affect someone without their belief or permission on some level - most people have to learn to refuse the influence of such things on a conscious level as well. If using Reiki energy helps you, or the subject, to focus - with positive and cleasing effects, then go for it.

REIKI...isn't for counteracting magic. Reiki is a form of healing. It similar to "laying on of hands." Reiki is beautiful and has no place in the same sentence as black magic.

In my opinion, Reiki does not help to hinder the process of black magic. Black magic is not ordinary force of energy. It is a benevolent force being willed upon you to ensure ill deeds be done upon you. My family had a long generations of Witches and healers. The only way I can protect myself from these spell where religion is not involved is using SALT and BLACK PEPPER , those round black ones. and to soak them in vinegar. Sprinkle a little around yourself and around the areas where you stay. It hinders black magic that is direct upon that vicinity.
This is what being passed down to my family. Hope it can help you in time of need.

I don't know about black magic BUT NO REIKI NEVER REVERT BACK AS BAD even if you did something bad to reiki practitioner. The one & only reason is reiki is motherly energy & for which every child is same. same as like our mother earth. It reverts back only with love & pure energy.

If a person believes in black magic it is possible
that knowing someone has used it against him will
cause him to die. However black magic, like any
other kind of magic does not really exist, so the
only defense needed is simply not to believe
in it.

no.. it can;t but magick(any kind of it) is created by using the will force, if you face it and you believe that your actions and you in the first place are more powerful than the person who casted something on you, then the effects of the magick will cancel but remember that you have to be 150% convicted that you're more powerful you really have to believe that and there is no try, do it or don't do it you have to be totally determined so it will succeed...
