Do I love poetry?
It depends on the subject matter and type. (An example of one that I like is Dante's Inferno. Technically, it is considered to be a poem.)
I use to write poems, but I haven't in quite awhile. I mostly do short stories and novels.

I like to read some poetry, and I write poems. I've had several published, e.g. in "Great Poems of Our Time". Most of them are in Chinese or Japanese. I've been writing haiku poems in English since long before I learned Japanese. I should write some in French and German. I love Shakespeare and Bassho. I write little poems for my lovers from Asia.

I have sort of a love-hate relationship with poetry. I love its total sense of freedom, and there are certain poems that I truly love. However, sitting through poetry readings can be an actually excruciating way to pass time.
Having said this, I have written lots of poems -- in a fairly eclectic range of genres and themes - and have published one book of poetry.

love it? i wouldn't say that. but i did get my first g/f in 10th grade with a poem. she was the inspiration for three poems. all of which she kept even after we broke up. kinda funny we were joking about them the other day, she is one of my good friends now.
