History teaches us racism is baseless. Without going back very much, take Romans, then Arabs, Spaniards, Portuguese, Dutch, Japanese, Russians, English, Americans, Israelis, Chinese, Hindus...etc etc...blacks....etc etc...wherever you look you will find the brightest minds have no monopoly on nacionality or ethnic traits, therefore racism is beyond intelligence...what makes a man/woman racist and go against his/her own intelligence??

Fear of the other drives the racist mind. When someone fears something, they eventually hate it.

Rascism is the natural human condition. We are wired to break into tribes. We recognize these tribes by physical appearance. High school is an excellent place to start. Notice how in highschool all the like-dressed and socioeconomic kids sat together? Notice how when only two black people are in a Cafetaria they will ALWAYS come together to sit with one another? Rascism is not a learned condition. It is hardwired into the human brain, peiople identifying or not identifying someone based on race. Thats why some immigrants assimilate better into the greater body politic while others never do. I know its a hard pill to swallow because I'm sure we'd all love to live in a rainbow world where we all dance in circles but as humans we are hardwired this way. ALL RACES ARE RASCISTS, even those that deny it. The only way to break from rascism is to achieve a unified state by using another unifier such as language, country, and culture that can supercede race. Just like men and women...do you honest think we are all equal and all the same? Silly and not science!

There are plenty of reasons, but the most common one I can think of is ignorance. You can be an intelligent person and still be completely ignorant of certain things in life.

People are quick to accept stereotypes, especially when they see it acted out right in front of them. They notice the stereotype more often then those who don't fit it, because they're subconciously looking for it.

These also contribute to a person being a racist,

1. Living in a community where the majority of people are their own race.

2. Living in a community where the majority is one race, and you are not part of it.

3. A racist family that passes down its ideas to you.

4. Going to a school where the majority of kids are one race, and you rarely learn about other cultures, if at all. Or, you learn false information. History textbooks, for instance, are very misleading and often full of half-truths and lies. For more on this, check out the book "Lies My Teacher Told Me."

Being a racist doesn't always play on your intelligence, though I rarely meet people who are very intelligent yet hold blatantly racist views. Like the song goes, everyone is a little bit racist...We all hold little prejudices here and there, whether we're aware of them or not. But usually it's only the mildly racist people that are relatively intelligent. I've never met someone that was an in-your-face-racist who actually held intelligent opinions about other matters.

This is a subject I get fired up about, we are all human no matter what, there are different cultures which still consist of humans, there are different theistic beliefs, there have been wars over this subject and are wars, for no reason. We keep bringing up the history we cant change it. I would like to hope that racism is dying, becuase it was taught, its being taught less and less let it die, that goes for all ethnic and cultural groups, f*ck hate groups, Im glad there are new laws against hate crimes, yeah Im white caucasion, preaching against different races is bulsht as well as preaching we were mistreated 50+ years ago we are one race human, with different beliefs and cultures, Im atheist and I respect christianity as well as islamic faiths, if we were all the same, this would be a boring world

You have your interpretation of the books and they have theirs.
How highly you value an acomplishment or culture is subjective, and they reason out the values to be different than you do.
Also the point they argue often isn't that intelligence isn't present in others but that it's appearance and/or application is skewed towards certain groups more than others.
The culture I live was influenced heavily by Western Europeans. They the argument is if that is the only way it could have been. They say yes, a lot of people say no.

I consider myself to be relatively intelligent and a racialist. I only want to persevere the wonderful racial diversity we have in the world today. The only way to do that is for the races live separately and to discourage racial mixing. Being white I particularly want to preserve my own race, but I have no desire to destroy the genetic heritage of other races. I think Bob Whitaker put it very well when he said:

“Liberals and respectable conservatives say there is this RACE problem. Everybody says this RACE problem will be solved when the third world pours into EVERY white country and ONLY into white countries."

"The Netherlands and Belgium are more crowded than Japan or Taiwan, but nobody says Japan or Taiwan will solve this RACE problem by bringing in millions of third worlders and quote assimilating unquote with them."

"Everybody says the final solution to this RACE problem is for EVERY white country and ONLY white countries to "assimilate," i.e., intermarry, with all those non-whites."

"What if I said there was this RACE problem and this RACE problem would be solved only if hundreds of millions of non-blacks were brought into EVERY black country and ONLY into black countries?"

"How long would it take anyone to realize I'm not talking about a RACE problem. I am talking about the final solution to the BLACK problem?"

"And how long would it take any sane black man to notice this and what kind of psycho black man wouldn't object to this?"

"But if I tell that obvious truth about the ongoing program of genocide against my race, the white race, Liberals and respectable conservatives agree that I am a naziwhowantstokillsixmillionje...

They say they are anti-racist. What they are is anti-white.

It is only the matter of comfort. If all have enough to live a comfortable life, they tolerate each other and cover their racism, intelligent and non-intelligent alike. Once there isn't enough for everyone and all are scramming for a piece, then the ugly comes out.

Because intelligence has little to do with personal bias' they are psychologically based on one's belief systems/life experiences as well as what appears to be a human characteristic in looking for differences between self and others.

Because their value systems are poor. Because we measure intelligence the way we look at computer processor power and don't bother about evaluvating the value system held by them.( which in some ways similar to the software used by the computer and determines the usefulness of the computer)
