Dude, never argue with a woman.... you wont win, even if you are right. Its best just to nod and grunt a lot, thus perpetuating the stereotype and ensuing peace at home.

Didnt you get the handbook? :)

Well, it depends on how you look at it whether who is the winner or not. It used to be "Gentlemen, do I have..." because there were only men in that part of the studio controlling the game. Then some of the men left and were replaced by an all woman crew, so now it's, "Ladies, do I have..."

They say ladies....

this is because they are asking Barker's Beauties (the models) to honk the horn if they have the numbers right.

I haven't seen that show in over ten years but I used to watch it regularly and I don't recal a game like that. Bob barker usually asks the questions not the contestants if memory serves, and I don't think he ever said "ladies" or "gentlemen" when asking. Sorry.

They say Gentlemen do I have at least one number right- the horn honks for yes- silence for no, if the horn honks -they then ask gentlemen do I have 2 # right- so on and so on

The phrasing of the question is based on both the gender of the contestant and Bob Barker's mood, so it could go either way; but it usually is "Gentlemen..."

The contestants say, "Ladies, do I have (however many) numbers right?" Good luck! Tell us who wins, you or your bf.

I am 100% sure that the contestant is addressing the "Ladies," because, the contestant is addressing the Barker's Beauties (all women).

They say ladies do I have one number right? And if they do they will honk. And it goes on until they don't have anymore right.
