Do you want to be an assistant or a vet tech? Anyone can train at a vet office to be an assistant, but it takes about 2.5 years of school, in Oklahoma, to become a vet tech. Good luck.

Yes, most vets will tell you to buy the chemicals and allow our animals to injest them, causing further damage down the line. Be careful, ask lots of why and can't another method be used. Why do they, like doctors, go straight for the chemical quick fix rather than find the source of the problem.
Can I suggest Voltaire wrote 250yrs ago. Physicians pour drugs of which they know little, to cure diseases of which they know less, into humans of which they know nothing. Has anything change since? Could this also be applied to vets?

You are refering to a vet tech and it can be a fun job if you go to the right clinic. Pay is minimal, and the work is hard. But if you find a good vet it is worth it. Some places will let you work for them for awhile and let you work your way up. It is better if you go to school for it though. I have worked in that field many times, so I warn you, it's hard work, but the reward is worth it if your not into making money lol.

Hmm... It's NOT like what you'd think it's like. What kind of vet would you be assisting? An office vet or a drive to your house vet? It's much harder work than being a nurse-assistant and also not as convienient...
