WII $200
Do you remmber the 3DO game system? It was $600-$700? And how well did that system do?

It's really hard to say if the Wii will dominate over the PS3 or not, with the Wii giving the owners the option to download any Nintendo game that has ever came out. Not to mention you can play either the NGC or the new Wii disc off the bat. But also on the downside the new Wii's controller the will make it a little harder to control the stuff on screen. With most gamers this isn't much of a problem, but with people that don't play as much games will probably need more time to get used to the new control. Each game download is about $5.00-$8.00 which isn't a bad price to pay and the Nintendo Wii will only cost about $200.00 so most people will be able to purchase one.
On the other hand the PS3 will let gamers play some hardcore games like Metal Gear Solid4: Guns of the Patriots, Final Fantasy XIII, Grand Theft Auto4, Resident Evil5, and the list of the next gen games can go on. And the ability to play all of the PSone and PStwo games and save the data on the 60GB HDD is a major plus over the Nintendo Wii. Not to mention the PS3 has the BluRay media format which in other words more mass in level creating or bigger worlds for GTA and FF.
It all comes down to what game genre's the console can bring to gamers. In my own opinion the PS3 is gonna rock... Just for a major price of about $600.00 USD. But after downloading all of your favorite Nintendo games the priceing for the Wii will most likely come up to about $700.00 USD to $1000.00 USD.

Pfsh. Wii is gonna dominate the ps3. Nobody except really rich kids are gonna get the ps3. It's $600. Wii is going to be $200 or less. Plus, it's got zelda and super smash brothers brawl. Those could be the only games coming out for it and I'd be happy.

I think Sony just shot themselves in the foot with that price tag, of almost $600. I mean they've got some killer games. I just wish the PS3 didnt have to be this all in one blu-ray contraption.
We just wan to play games.
Bottom line, if yo've got 600 bucks, you could get both Wii and an XBOX 360

I think the Wii and the PS3 will be the new Xbox and PS2. I think microsoft will lose out, and the Wii and PS3 will hover around eachother until the next generation maybe sorts things out.
