she used to be a beautiful child, kind, funny and now she dresses in black and refusses to answer to the name we gave her..

I think all 14 y/o girls are insane. They do out grow it though!
My mom called it "the queen of the world syndrome"
I started to notice my daughters enter into this "phase" at 11 o12.
They have matured nicely though. One more to go.

She is not insane. She just going through a gothic trend. she didnt loose the abilty to be funny she still the same old girl. Respect what she wants to be called and treat her the same way you used too and she'll eventually come around. and dont call her insane. treat her like a daughter...., not some one in a nut house. and buy her the kind of clothes she likes not the ones you want her to like. Dont choose your daughters life for her. she makes her own decisions. your only their to guide her into whats right----- which does not include fashion..... guide her into educating herself and not doing drugs... it doesnt matter on how she dresses or what name she wants to be. your daughter can be that same old girl if you let her

lol You answered your own question there. It's because she's 14. I was once told that kids are normal until 13 then they are not normal again til 20. SHe's just going through a stage, testing her bounderies & identity. Hagn in there she isn't losing her mind &neither are you.

I think that all teenagers go through that "gothic" thing at that age, i did, and so did alot of my friends, and now that im older im seeing it in alot of my sisters friends, just make sure shes not doing drugs or anything like that, thats another thing that usually comes at that stage good luck

Her main problem is that she is 14 years old. Give her time, she will grow out of it.

umm maybe shes turning into a gothic..... umm take her out of the school she is in and put her in a private school or send her to a bording school... and make her stop hanging out with the people she hangs out with

its just a stage...shes not insane....shes a hormonal teen...and shes only being GOTHIC cuz there is prolly a group at her skool that is gothic and sh wants to be friends wit them...it'll blow over soon

Shes a teen duh.. just let her be i hate wen adults judge you by the way u dress and act just let us be life right now is alot different than your life wen u were a teen and dont expect it to be the same
