I truly believe that you pledge the chapter, not the organization. What I mean is this: I am a member of Zeta Phi Beta sorority, and I went to college 500 miles from home. Before I left, I thought I would pledge a different organization, based on what I saw in my hometown and I met people from that organization, whose ideals were similar to mine. When I got to college, that organization was not the same on that campus, so I couldn't see pledging them at that school. Zeta was a natural fit for me. You need to spend time with each organization (when they do community service, and when they have social functions) to see which organization has values that you closely identify with. It's a very personal decision that fosters lifelong friendships. I am still friends with my line sisters, and I pledged over 10 years ago. Don't pledge based on what other people think; pledge based on what you think. BTW there is nothing wrong looking at a black sorority. Ours were formed when we were denied entrance to white sororities. No sorority is 'best'; it's what's 'best for you.'

I really can't say which is the best. I think I am a little old for it myself. But, if I were to choose one, I think I would pick the Deltas, sorry I don't know the Greek alphabet it is under. I think the Deltas are a little more congenial and modest. Best to you.

Take your time and do your research. Each NPHC org is different and some may have views, history or issues you don't agree or believe in. Best of luck to you in your endeavors.
