It's much too soon. You need to wait until they are a year old to introduce cows milk, as not only is it one of the most common food allergies, but it doesn't contain the vitamins and nutrients that their quickly growing bodies need.
And when you do start giving them milk, you need to introduce it a little at a time and monitor for a reaction, especially if there are family members with dairy allergies. My sister is very allergic, and she gets hives, a terrible stomach ache, and her mouth swells a little. It only gives me a stomach ache, but my son was very colicky until I switched him to a soy-based formula.
Whole milk is supposed to be used first, too. I think until they're about 4 or 5, but I'm not for sure on that one.

My pediatrician said I could introduce milk at 10 months in place of a feeding. My first I didn't give milk until over a year but I breastfed her until 19 months. With my second I had to start giving formula at 6 months because I became pregnant with my third and lost my milk. Anyway it was with my second that my ped said I could start weening off of formula and onto milk at 10 months. I wouldn't mix with formula because you should make formula how the can says and not mix anything with it. I gave milk in place of a bottle.

My sister's baby is a year old and the doctor told her to wait until the baby was a year old so she's just starting on cow's milk.

Babies must be at least a year old. Cow's milk does not contain the iron or fat that a baby under a year must have for normal brain development. Also, if a baby is milk sensitive, giving him the milk under a year can cause serious intestinal bleeding.

When our daughter was little, (she is 11 yrs old now) my husband and I waited until she was just over a year old before we gave her "real" ,what you are calling cows milk. We started off with 2% milk then gave her vitamin D milk then we all went back to 2% milk and have been drinking 2% ever since.

the recommended time is when they're 1 years old. i know parents who have given cow's milk to their babies when the babies were 10/11 months old, so maybe around that time would be okay too, as long as they're almost 1.

You have to wait until they are one year old. Their body can't digest cows milk before that age. And then you should make sure it is the red milk. They need the fats and stuff.

Yes it is.
If you introduce something to early to a child they can become allergic to it.
They say wait until your child is 12 months old, but I believe start introducing sips here and there a couple of weeks before their first birthday.
I can't imagine stopping formula altogether and starting up with milk without them having a little bit of it first.

you can mix an ounce or two in with his formula. and increase slowly.. I waited until 1 year, and just went half formula and half whole milk.. after a week of that.. I went to whole milk only. The poo was a little different at first, but they adjusted.
