Why are you scared? It's kind of an embarrassing topic, but only when guys are around. Talk to your mom about it when you are alone, or ask her to take you shopping and mention it in the car. Just tell her that you are hitting puberty and would feel more comfortable wearing a bra. If you don't mention it to her first, it would be more emarrasing for her to mention it to you. Keep a good relationship with your mom, open and make sure you can communicate with her. I can't imagine going through puberty without my mom telling me about what periods are and other girl stuff!

I remember when I wanted my first bra. I was going into middle school, and I knew almost everyone else was going to wear them so I didn't want to look weird with all these new people. I just flat out asked my mom, but if you don't feel confortable asking her for one and if you active in sports, ask her to get you a sports bra because your sweating alot through your clothes. Its a good place to start if you still don't have a lot up there. I started with them, but I wore them even when I wasn't playing a sport. I have two older sisters so it wasn't too big of a deal for my mom, but as long as she sees you wearing them all the time, she will relize you're growing up, and she will buy you regular bra's soon too.

Don't ever be afraid to tell your mom anything! Just come right out and say you think you will be needing to get a bra and real soon! She'll be very happy to take you to the store and get you some. I hope this helps.

First of all, you shouldn't ask permission to get a bra from your mom. You own the right to have a bra, trust me. She may even agree and buy you many bras and while you're at the mall go ahead and buy a nice outfit.

Just tell her straight-out. Everyone needs one eventually, and you're just going to have to face it. Tell your mom you think it would be a good idea to own a bra, just to know what it feels like, and that you are considering wearing one regularly. Then ask for her opinion and if she could guide you towards a few options.

She was probably just as scared to ask her Mom, too.
You might want to use that as an approach.
Just ask, "Mom, were you afraid or scared to talk to Gramma about Girl stuff when you were my age ?"
That will probably open up the door to good communications.
Good Luck !

I can't see why you'd be scared to tell your mom that!
But the easiest way to go about telling her is to just come out and say it!
You never know maybe she'll make a day out of it and buy you more things!

I doubt she'd go bonkers if you just asked her. What are you afraid of? Surely she knows you'll need one at some point. Just tell her that at your age, all the girls are starting to wear them and you think you need one. I don't think you'll have a bad experience asking her...she surely knows you're growing up! It's no biggie!
