Wow. That is a difficult question without much info to go on. First of all, a black suit is a classic, so that is a good choice. As for the tie color, that really depends. Are you a daring person who likes to be different and stand out? If so, why not wear an aqua one? Aqua is the hot color right now and it makes such a stunning statement.
If you are a quiet subdued person who doesn't relish the limelight, then I'd go with something darker, maybe a black tie with wine embellishments, or a dark gold tie for a super elegant look.
Finally, if you want to look both modern and elegant at the same time, go with a burnt orange...a great color for elegance and it also happens to be another "it" color right now.

Best of luck....we want you to post a picture of this suit okay.

Stay away from patterns, they are a bit passe and look old sometimes. Instead look for something with a great texture woven in to the silk. It will be more interesting if you also pick an unexpected color like a rich red, light purple, or a deep/summery green. This will give you an eye catching piece to wear without taking away from the class and simplicity of a black suit.

I would try one of those Mexican Bolo ties. No one else wears them except in Texas. Its an original fashion statement.

Just in case you don't know what it is, it's a thin rope of leather or cloth usu with metal caps on the end. Then there is a Fastener which holds the piece together around your neck. These come in many varieties. I'd suggest getting a fastener that looks like a cactus or maybe a sperm whale.

It relies upon on the assertion you need to make. in case your going for a sales or outgoing type of activity your tie ought to mirror that. If its a greater conservative form of activity , in spite of this the tie ought to adventure that. If its a center of the line kinda component i might circulate with a Blue tie with a delicate trend.

I would go with something with an interesting pattern, as long as the pattern has some black in it as well. You wouldn't want, for instance, a pattern that's mostly browns if you're wearing a black suit. Blues, greens, reds look good with black...

Personally, I like something like this...

A nice bright vest with perhaps a matching bowtie. It is the best because it shows class and style all in one swoop. :)
