I had unprotected sex about six and a half months ago. Since then, I have not had my period, I have had weird cravings and rampant morning sickness. My belly is getting larger, and just a few weeks ago, I started having sensations in that area, like something kicking and squirming. My breasts are extremely tender, my mood swings back and forth each day. For example, at this party last week, someone brought carrot cake, and everyone knows I hate carrot cake, and I began to cry a little bit. But the party turned out pretty cool anyway, cuz I got all sorts of baby gifts. Do you think my friends are trying to tell me something?

Is it too early to take a home pregnancy test?

The funny thing is how many people took that seriously. Thanks for the chuckle.

too early for a home pregnancy test? not at all. in fact, most tests are fairly accurate a week after your first missed period. take one soon. If it reads positive, schedule an appointment with an OB asap. They'll take you through any diet or lifestyle changes that should occur. They will likely prescribe some prenatal vitamins which are very important to the development of a child. It's never too late to at least try to do something healthy for it.

If it reads negative, schedule an appointment with your OB. There's a reason that you're missing your period, and if it's not pregnancy, you need to get it checked out.

All the best and good luck!

Ummm, pregnancy tests are accurate after about 2 weeks, so 6 months would turn positive in a second if you are really pregnant. I would get an emergency appointment with the OB/gyn tomorrow since you have had no prenatal care for 6 months.

GIRL! if you are serious, you should have already seen a doctor 3 or 4 months ago!!! I'm not trying to scare you but you should allready be taking prenatal vitiamins and having regular check-ups to ensure the safety of yourself and your child!!! This is nothing to play around with!!! GET a pregnancy test today or tomorrow and if I's positive, call your doctor or health dept. and tell them how far along you might be. I feel you'll be seen quickly. You sound very young, but don't be dumb!!! Good Luck!!!

NO IT'S DEFINITELY NOT TOO EARLY TO HAVE A PREGNANCY TEST. IF YOU HAD UNPROTECTED SEXUAL INTERCOURSE EVEN WITHOUT COMPLETE PENATRATION YOU CAN BECOME PREGNANT.OR IF THE CONDOM A PINHOLE OR IF YOU FORGOT TO TAKE YOUR BIRTH CONTROL PILL. IT'S NOT A JOKING MATTER , YOU NEED TO SEE A DOCTOR FOR TESTS AND PRENATAL CARE IF THE TEST IS POSITIVE. IF IT TURNS OUT YOUR ARE GOING TO BE A MOTHER I HOPE YOU WILL TALK IT OVER WITH SOMEONE WHO I HELPED YOU MAKE THE BEST CHOICE FOR BOTH YOU AND THE BABY.

Haha I shouldn't be laughing but you've got to be kidding me. It definitely sounds like pregnancy to me. Next you'll be saying you're eating pickles and ice cream. Better go to Costco soon sweetie.. you're going to need diapers.

What do you think is growing in your belly? A watermelon? There's no way you can be that dumb. No way. If you are serious, I think you need psychological help for your denial.
