I'm a cop. On the spot, you wouldn't be arrested, but that's for sure you would be detained for further investigations, because I would have reasons to believe the stuff is stolen. I would see after what I do with you.

Definitely not. It might be (almost certainly is) reasonable grounds for investigating further but it's not reasonable grounds for arresting someone. I have a big enough issue with all the illegal things we can be arrested for, nevermind if we start arresting people for entirely legal behaviour.
If you're referring to the guys in Michigan - they haven't released the details but I highly doubt they were arrested just for having the phones, it sounds like there's much more to the story and probably some identifiable illegal behaviour and a prior investigation behind the arrest.

Suspicious activity is cause enough for a search and to take someone down to HQ for questioning, but I don't know about arrest, unless they found out something illegal was going on after the questioning and/or search.

what's Kelly Blue e book say on the fee of the vehicle? 2006 lancer 4 years previous for $19,000, sounds extreme. What did this motor vehicle sale for brand new ????? 4 years in the past????? For $18,000. you may want to purchase a sparkling motor vehicle, 2011 Chev Cruze, 2011 Honda Civic, Ford concentration, and so on. all with production unit assure! imagine about the recent motor vehicle. Honda, Civic will very last merely about three hundred,000 miles. good gas mileage good resale component.

The parts for those phone can be used as detonators... the cash isn't a big deal. Yes, they should be arrested and the phones and cash impounded until things are sorted through. We don't need terrorists running around free... sometimes are civil liberties just go overboard of reason.

yes, what the flip are these people going to do with this stuff? Um oh yeah, set off some bombs in which the materials will be bought with the 10,000 dollars. I mean if they can't find anything else though, they will have to let this person go. but police and feds will watch them, i hope...

Yeah. It was fair. Did you read the whole newspaper article? If you didn't, look it up. The details are pretty interesting. There's was plenty illegal about it and even more that was suspicious about it.

well it does sound suspicious.. and I guess the arrest is just to make sure nothing illegal does eventually happen regardless how innocent the case may be.
