I haven't seen the movie, but, have read the book, by Nicholas Sparks. Made me reach for the kleenex! It seems to me that the book is always better than the movie.

It was very touching.
It dealt with many of the issues people face in real life.
Two sweethearts seperated by parents, yearning to be together again.
I can't tell you much more without ruining it.
If you have one ounce of compassion for others you will appreciate this movie.

the movie was great, but read the book first by Nicholas Sparks. Both are major tear jerkers.

An excellent romance with an original plot. It definitely portrayed "true love".
