I like Green Day a lot, but they aren't heavy metal.

If you want to listen to some great heavy metal, pop in so me Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Kiss, Pantera, AC/DC, Megadeth, or maybe even some Soundgarden. I know that this band has mellowed a lot over the years, but I still have to say that Metallica remains my favorite.

It's not Heavy metal... but Love metal.
I really like H.I.M. They're from finland.
They have a LOT of really good songs...It's kinda creepy death music, not really my type AT ALL, but the lead singer is cute and their songs are pretty addicting.
it's more like ' light metal/rock' Ha! But i guess i wouldn't really consider green day to be heavy metal... more like punk rock... i like their older stuf...

HEAVY METAL is not ******* poppy asswipes with makeup on their face (mudvayne kiss shitknot) heavy metal is ******* music that consists of blast beats, dropped tunings, pinch harmonics, and double bass pedal that will **** your *** before you know what happens

listen to ******* red chord, black dahlia murder, cannibal corpse, through the eyes of the dead, between the buried and me, or ed gein (some of these ive listed are what people like to call grind bands)

I wouldn't call Green Day heavy metal. AC/DC now that's more like it.

I'm quite fond of Mudvayne's and System of a Down's first CD's. I'm not 100% sure if they're "heavy metal", but whatever.
Green Day is most definitely not "heavy metal."

Green Day isn't really heavy metal, more like rock, but whatever. I like Seether though but their heavy metalness is debate able too.
