I think that there is almost no correlation. I answer Mathematics questions in a serious way (I am a teacher) and Ive help a lot of people here. But its very rare that a person chooses my answer as the right one, they choose even wrong answers as the best ones!

It's not 1, but its probably more than 0. Smarter people may have more points because of best answer awards, but people who spend a lot of time on the site will also have a lot of points, regardless of IQ, just from answering a lot of questions to get the 2 points.
My educated guess is 0.25

I would suspect there is a moderate direct correlation, so about 0.35?
