Frankly, when I started shaving, even with my mother's help, I cut my legs up so many times. I still have a really ugly scar from one cut that went deep. If you are still dead set on shaving, get an older friend or your mom to help.
You can use nearly anything that lathers as a shaving cream, I prefer body wash. Put your leg up, at a bent angle, and begin at the ankle. Shave up to the bottom of the knee in one stroke, then start again at the bottom for the next stroke. Turn your leg slowly until all of it has been shaved up to the knee.
I always cut myself near the knee, so be extra slow and careful. Bend your leg totally so the skin is stretched, then shave around the knee cap and the sides of the knee. I would not bother shaving any higher than the knee, as I usually don't have to, but if you want to, fine. Use the same strategy as you used for the bottom of the leg, only starting at the knee.
If you cut yourself, use toilet paper or a tissue to press on the cut until it stops bleeding. the faster you shave, the deeper the cuts can be, so go slowly. Good luck!

Electric razor. You can use it anytime you want, without having to use soap and stuff. If you want to use a regular razor (it'll give you a better shave) then always use soap or body wash, don't push too hard or go too fash, and be careful around parts of your leg that are uneven, like ankles and knees, because they're easier to cut.
ps contrary to the first answer shaving your legs will not make your hair growth worse. just like cutting the hair on your head doesn't make it grow faster or thicker. eventually you're start growing dark hair once you get a little older but that's not because you've been shaving it happens naturally.
But you are a bit young, in my opinion wait a year or two. I'm 16, I started shaving going into sixth grade. I think that's a good time to start.

first ask your mom
1-when you are in the shower put your foot upon the ledge
2- wet your leg and rub shaving cream all over your leg and thigh.
3- take the razor and starting at your ankle shave upwards and stop below your knee. keep doing that until you are done with your whole calf
4- bend your knee and slowly use small strokes to shave your knee
5- shave your thighs the same as your calfs
6- rinse off the cream and do the other leg
*TIPS*
~rinse off the razor every other stroke to get the shaving cream and hair off
~ alwasy make sure you use shaving cream or you will get razor burn which isnt good
~change the blade on your razor every three shaves
~shave like twice a week (more if you are wearing shorts and less if you will be wearing pants, your choice)
~when you are done with both legs check to see if you missed any spots and if you did then put more cream on them and shave them again.
Have Fun

awww! if your really nervous about shaving and worried that you might cut yourself then I would try using Nair or Veet at first. Nair works quicker than Veet, but it smells really bad when you are using it. Just rub it all over a wet leg, then wash it off after a couple of minutes. Hope that helps!

The bumps are generally brought about with the aid of ingrown hairs and with the aid of the razor reducing the small bumps brought about with the aid of the hairs. utilising an electric powered razor works properly, there are some that are designed for women and could be submerged. those artwork superb. whilst utilising an electric powered razor use a lot of a properly-sudsing cleansing soap consisting of Jergens or Tone. no want for a undeniable gel. different issues that is completed is after shaving (the two with the aid of razor or electric powered razor) prepare a powder, bumps could be brought about with the aid of the inflammation of the freshly-shaven epidermis rubbing against undergarments. If her undergarments are something different than cotton then she rather ought to purpose powder.

OK FIRST AND FORMOST ASK YOUR MOTHER IF YOU CAN SHAVE
OK SO YOU GET SKINTIMATE (THE BEST SHAVING CREAM ever!!!)
AND YOU RUB IT ALL OVER THE AREA YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHAVE (WHICH IS YOUR LEG)
MAKE SURE IT IS EVERYWHERE BECAUSE IT MAKE YOUR SKIN MUCH MUCH SMOOTHER AFTER WORDS
NOW TAKE YOUR RAZOR AND PRESS IT AGAINST YOUR LEG FROM THE BOTTOM OF YOUR FOOT TO THE TOP
DO THAT REPEATEDLY UNTIL YOUR LEG HAS ABOUT BEEN UNCOVERED FROM SHAVING CREAM
MAKE SURE THAT YOU WASH OFF YOUR RAZOR AFTER EACH TIME YOU SHAVE YOUR LEG FROM TOP TO BOTTOM SO IT DOESNT GET FULL OF SHAVING CREAM
NOW AFTER YOU DO THAT FOR THE FIRST TIME MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE COMFORTABLE WITH IT
IF YOU AREN'T THEN I RECCOMMEND NAIR
WHICH YOU RUB OVER YOUR FOOT AND THEN WASH IT OFF
SO ALL OF THE HAIR IS GONE
HOPE I HELPED!!!!

****************** YOU ARE NAWT TOO YOUNG... NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had the same issue, and it was bad.. I started shaving at 9 or 10, there's nothing wrong with it.
Ask your mother for help, do not shave w/o her permission. For a first time a reccomend a veet or nair, or a bladeless electronic razor.

my honest opinion is you're too young but you should really consider talking to your mom and she can tell you other options plus the hair will grow back thicker and once you start you've got to keep it up!
