I do the same thing. I have a lot of money to spend on clothes and I buy a lot and people call me rich and say that I'm spoiled and that I get whatever I want, but I really don't care as long as I look good and I'm happy.

That isn't bad at all. Wearing clothes that you love only makes you happier and more confident. I think people wouldn't look at you you as stupid or rich, but just as someone with a great wardrobe. If I were you, I would do the same thing.

No it just means you care about the way you look and thats good but you should save a little like if you have $50 put $10 so you have money to fall back on.

You should invest your winnings, not waste it all on clothes.

At first, I thought you had a job with steady income. But with winnings, the general rule is easy come easy go.

Of course, you can take a portion and treat yourself to something special but the majority should go towards savings. That would be the responsible thing to do. How are your college savings?

Congratulations!
I think you could get yourself a pretty nice wardrobe for only a quarter of that...or maybe even less.
Just don't blow it all on clothes, because they won't last and you'll wonder where your money went in no time!
I think you deserve to look good, just don't exagerate!

don't worry about what other's think.. do you think it's smart to spend it all on clothes... maybe you could spend some on clothes but focus on school supplies as well, books and set some of that money aside for emergencies cause you never know when you'll need it.

You are stupid if you blow it all away. Just so you will quench your excitement, how about you spend 500 bucks in one go to the nearest mall, and promise yourself not to spend anymore than you need to.

well u need to look at ur situation. will u be needing that money in the future for something that is not a luxury (food, medical expenses, gas money, etc.)? if the answer is no, then i say buy a little something, but don't overdo it.
